Storied Life of Fikry

Release date: April 1, 2014 Pages: 258 I started reading The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin with little idea of what it was about – but even the little bit that I knew made it sound like an intriguing read. The jacket copy thrown around on the internet was enticingly vague: A. J. Fikry’s life is not at all what he expected it to be. His wife has died; his bookstore is ... Read More »

Movie Review: ‘After the Dark’ starring Bonnie Wright & Freddie Stroma

afterthedark

In truth, the film is a bit of a mind-f***, but one that can be thoroughly enjoyable if you allow yourself to go where the story goes rather than trying to stuff it into a specific categorical box. After the Dark is not what you’re expecting, but it is a film that will make you question everything. Read More »
