Exclusive Cover Reveal: “Seven Endless Forests” by April Genevieve Tucholke

In a bit of a midweek slump after the long holiday weekend? We’ve got something that should lift your spirits – the EXCLUSIVE cover reveal of April Genevieve Tucholke’s upcoming novel, Seven Endless Forests, due out in March of 2020.

With the book’s release still a few months away, there’s not much information yet available about Seven Endless Forests. But what we do know (besides that it has a gorgeous cover) is that the novel is a gender-flipped retelling of the King Arthur mythos, set in the same world as Tucholke’s critically acclaimed The Boneless Mercies. Already hooked? So are we. Check out the cover below!

And while authors don’t often get a say in the design of their book covers, it sounds like Tucholke was pretty happy with the way this one turned out. Here’s what she had to say about it:

Will Staehle designed a sublime fantasy cover – the classic aesthetic, the prominent central sword, the optical illusion of a young woman morphing into something tree-ish, something Ent-ish, her neck dissolving into roots, her hair into branches, her skin into forest….this brilliantly embodies the book’s genderflipped Norse twist on the King Arthur legend.

Does March seem as far away to you as it does to us? While you wait for the release of Seven Endless Forests, be sure to preorder your copy (and check out The Boneless Mercies while you’re at it).
